For All Mankind season 2 episode 8 has been released on Apple TV+. We picked up with the Marines on the Moon guarding site 357 Bravo. Ellen (Jodi Balfour), Margo Madison (Wrenn Schmidt), and General Bradford (John Marshall Jones) are getting briefed by President Ronald Reagan after the successful mission to take back the site.

Much of episode 8 deals with things moving in the direction of the end of season 2. Molly Cobb (Sonya Walger) learns that she will go blind from her exposure to radiation on the Moon, and Ellen struggles with the offer to become the director of NASA.

Tensions are still high between the US and the Soviet Union after the KAL 007 flight was shot down over the USSR. When the marines notice movement near the mining site they go to investigate. They discover two cosmonauts, and communication breaks down. The US soldiers think they Soviets are going for weapons so they open fire. Both cosmonauts are shot, and one burns to death inside his suit.

In episode 8 Karen (Shantel VanSanten) and Danny Stevens (Casey Johnson) have a full blown affair. The Baldwin’s adopted daughter Kelly (Cynthy Wu) goes in search of her biological father. Ed (Joel Kinnaman) learns that his Pathfinder shuttle will be armed with missiles. Aleida Rosales (Coral Pena) gets into an argument with her boss Bill, and has to go to his home to make things right after he quits JSC.

On the Moon Tracy (Sarah Jones) and Gordo (Michael Dorman) talk about the issues he’s had since the last time he went to the moon. He tells her he’s there to get her back, and she doesn’t discourage his behavior but leaves things open.
