The Kreisorchester with its conductor @AndreBaumeister commissioned me to write the three-movement composition FRENZY in 2020 and 2021. In addition to being performed at various concerts, the piece was also to be recorded in the form of a professional sound and image recording. When this was finally scheduled for autumn 2022, we planned the recording weekend in detail. The commissioned composition FRENZY was to be the main focus of the work, but beyond that we were looking for a smaller piece that would be suitable above all for recording and would serve as a contrast to the musically and technically demanding commissioned work. Only a few days before the recording, I finished my work on the arrangement of the ALPHAVILLE hit FOREVER YOUNG from the year 1984. I suggested to André and the orchestra board to record this still completely unknown arrangement as a counterpart to FRENZY. The orchestra showed its usual openness and interest. They devoted themselves to the recording with great enthusiasm, deep musicality and special dedication. Therefore, I want to thank the musicians of the Kreisorchester Borken and their conductor André Baumeister.
