Big thank you to Ford of Santa Monica for inviting me out to the 2021 Ford Bronco launch event. This event was held on April 12th, 2021 in Santa Monica and the goal was to introduce customers who have placed orders to the new full size Ford Bronco. Two trim levels of the 4 door soft top were on site. The Outer Banks which offers more luxury features such as painted body panels, interior trim, and the 12” screen, was on display along with the Black Diamond trim level, which offers more of the core off-road features including the larger 35” tires and more durable panels. Ford officials demonstrating the removal of each door and the soft top, which took no more than a total of 5 minutes for all panels to be removed.

The 2021 Ford Bronco goes head to head against the iconic Jeep Wrangler. Both have similar capabilities, but the Ford Bronco aims to improve on the long lasting issues many Wrangler owners have voiced. Such issues include the fact that the removable doors cannot truly be stored in the car. The Ford Bronco has solved that by offering protective covers for each door (which include a QR code that links to a video of the removal process) and allows all 4 doors to fit snug in the cargo area. This is a game changer for enthusiasts.

Other trim levels include the Sasquatch package (larger tires, fenders, upgraded suspension), Big Bend (first introduction to some luxury features @ $34k), Black Diamond (more of the core off-road capability features @ $37k), Outer Banks (more of the high end luxury features @ $40k), Badlands (combination of luxury and off road capability @ $43k), and the WildTrak (top of the line, fully loaded with luxury and off road capability [price unknown]). All trim levels include GOAT mode and the wild limb risers up front, giving the car an aggressive look.

Overall, it was an impressive turnout of enthusiastic customers who cannot wait to take delivery of their 2021 or 2022 Ford Bronco. Santa Monica Ford alone has 550+ pre-orders for the Ford Bronco. I was thrilled to review the Bronco and get inside to feel the materials, use the functions, experience the interior volume, and watch the demonstration by Ford.

Watch the full video to see my deep dive into the 2021 Ford Bronco as I explore the interior, engine options, and all of its capabilities that were demonstration in MOAB recently.
