We headed up to South Lake Tahoe to explore Glen Alpine Upper Falls located in desolation wilderness. It was truly breathing taking. Lake Tahoe is known for its crystal clear alpine waters and granite slabs. We started our journey on the one-lane road around Fallen Leaf Lake to the upper parking lot designated for desolation wilderness and the upper falls. Don't confuse this with the lower falls. The lower Glen Alpine falls can be accessed by car. You can drive up to the lower falls, the upper falls are about a 2-mile hike. We hiked to the upper falls and passed into Suzie lake.

Words nor this video can show the true beauty this area holds. With snow-capped mountains, raging creeks, and waterfalls we were in awe with each corner we turned. Come along with me as I share this trail with you.
