I think this is the 2-3 shift torque converter pulse width modulation soleniod. Maybe TCC. Something like that. Ohm ckecked good but still did not work. Applied 12 volt power supply to it and did not click. New one did click with power supply. Electical connector hard to fit on new solenoid. 2 pins must line up perfect or pin will get bent and ruin your whole day(compare old and new pins to see how far off they are). Push the pins up a little with a screwdriver so connector will fit in a little better. Be very careful. Clear the Service Engine Soon light. Light will come back on but go out after so many miles. Clean bottom of pan and magnet. Very dirty. Change oil and filter and gasket. Change fluid a couple more time over the months to get clean fluid into the system. Use cheapest Dex III/Merc from Walmart or Dollar store or something. Don't buy OEM, they suck. Buy Borg Warner part. New part number BDW S9849(97 Blazer) from O'Reilly's. 35 bucks something. Not many in town. Must order from Amazon or parts store if not in stock
