We install a eco battery 48 volt 72 amp hour golf cart battery conversion kit into a club car ds. What a Difference. Cart gained 3 mph with factory motor and controller. We start by taking the old batteries out. You will not need the wires that connect each battery. You will only use the main negative and positive battery cables for this install. The battery hold down brackets you can toss to the side as well. Remove all batteries. Take out old charging port and replace with new style extension cord charger if you wish to do so. ( you do not have to do this but makes for a clean install.) Now place the battery into the cart. Next we will run our gauge to the dash. There are some tips for mounting the battery gauge in the video. 48v to 12v reducer. Yellow is Main power. Black wire with eyelid is main ground.
Red and black wires go to 12v wiring. Connect all positive and negative wires (battery charger, 48v to 12v reducer, and main power wires to cart). Before reinstalling everything check to make sure the cart runs and accessories turn on. If all is good reinstall everything.
