My Ford Econline van with an E4OD transmission had an adventure a while back, stubbed its toe. It now needs some attention and we are going to install a AutoMeter transmission temperature gauge in the test pressure port off the drivers side, just above the pan.
We now have real time temp readings in the cockpit of our mischievous transmission, now we will be able to monitor potential heat related issues.

Still have yet to come up with a decent explaination of what caused the initial incident, however I have an active imagination and will insert random causes at unpredictable speeds.
