We visit a geographer's candy store, here in Riga. This karsu veikals, or "map shop", sells not only a huge selection of tourist maps, street maps, atlases, and various objects designed with a map theme. They also house and sell historic topographic maps, produced by the Soviet military during the cold war, of most of the world including the USA ... just in case the Soviet army needed to "drive tanks down the streets" of these places. These and other maps at Jana Sets Map Shop tell fascinating stories about the past and present world events around us.
