The rescuers identified two seals with entanglement from far away with the help of excellent binoculars and a lot of experience, and a bit of luck. Tony quickly caught his "good pup" and Denzil was also successful with the second target, just on time before it would have escaped to the ocean. To be able to use the big net again, the OCN rescuers relocated one pup into a smaller net and they continued to look for more. Naude spotted two more seals - a young one with a thin piece of plastic around its neck, and a fourth one that seemed to wear a big plastic bag like a piece of clothing. Between Wally and Naude, they caught those two and they ended up with a fifth seal in a net - all of them waiting patiently for their turn to be rescued. An excellent day for seals! 🦭
