We make a giant vintage paper moon prop display The moon prop was created to be used as a photo backdrop or photo op for a 1920's Halloween party. This DIY moon project is the perfect prop for trying to create that fun old fashioned picture with friends or selfie. This glowing moon was made of 3/4" plywood and sculpted foam. The carved foam was hard coated and covered with a concrete spray texture. The realistic moon photo booth was given a custom paint job bringing out all the perfect moon face features as well as fluffy clouds. The moon art project was placed in front of a starry night back ground for an even more immersive feel. We were so crunched for time we didn't film more of the process for this crescent moon tutorial. If you're looking into how to make moon decor or a moon craft for a wedding or a high school prom here's an idea.
