Anna Takeuchi Todd is a Japanese-American occupational therapy student at Downstate. She was born in Kyoto, Japan, and moved to the United States at age 6. She still visits her family in Kyoto often and is fluent in Japanese. Anna holds a B.A. in psychology with a minor in somatic learning & dance from Stony Brook University. Before starting her master’s program at Downstate, Anna was the environmental education manager at Hudson River Park Trust, where she led dynamic environmental science programs, high school and college mentorships, and sustainability research and initiatives for NYC’s waterways. She is also a certified TEFL instructor. Anna enjoys dancing, cooking, traveling, and attending concerts.
