Dozens of waiters and waitresses competed in the streets of Paris to win the "Course des garçons de café" and be crowned the fastest server in town. Pierre Rabadan, deputy city mayor in charge of sport, says the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games provide an "opportunity to relaunch a certain number of things", including this race to "highlight the DNA and culture of Paris".
