When I've asked Pentax shooters to recommend lenses for me to try, the most frequently mentioned lens is the Pentax HD DA 20-40mm Limited lens. I'll be honest... I've never been super interested in trying it by itself. I'm mostly a prime shooter to begin with, and I'm stuck in the mindset that if I'm buying a zoom it's gonna be for that large zoom range. Plus, the 20-40mm isn't very wide or telephoto. It's right in the middle. So, it doesn't feel the same as say the 10-17mm being a more versatile fisheye. But the results I see are always amazing, and the constant telling me about it means I had to try it. When I bought my Pentax KP recently it was bundled with this lens, so fate has led us together in the end. Although I will be selling it to help fund something else in the end. ;)
