Join Will Dawson for a morning on Bleak Bank Farm. Today, it’s all about scanning the ewes, in preparation for lambing. He’ll see which are carrying single lambs, which are pregnant, and whether some aren’t carrying at all.

As part of the nationwide ‘Our Common Cause: Upland Commons project’ Will Dawson is making a video diary from his Yorkshire Dales farm to share stories about what’s involved in being a farmer, grazier and commoner in one of England’s national parks. Bleak Bank Farm is on the flanks of Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales. This is the first of a series that will run throughout 2022 and 2023.

Filmed by William Dawson, edited by Rob Fraser.
