There's a lot of hysteria in the media about the Adler A110 lever-action shotgun: much of it is wrong.
This firearm is not a semi-automatic, it was legal both in fact and in the spirit of the 1996 National Firearms Agreement, and it is not a threat to public safety at the hands of criminals. In fact, it would be pretty useless for use in the standard manner of criminals today.
Robert Borsak took a trip to Safari Firearms in South-West Sydney to show some of the features of the firearm and dispel some of the common myths.
He believes that the Adler A110 should remain where it belongs: in Category A. There is no conceivable reason to restrict it to Category D - as COAG and the Liberal and National Parties in Coalition want.
In the face of anti-firearms hysteria sweeping the major parties, you can only rely on the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party to fight extreme changes to State firearms laws.
