If you grew up in the 80s, there was not much of a chance that you missed out on the popular He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series. Kids loved the action figures and the cartoon show. Even though many are nostalgic about the series, it never got a proper rerun for a very long time. Yes, the main purpose of the show was to sell toys, but somewhere down the line they did create an interesting storyline and fun characters that were entertaining to watch. This cartoon show was made by Filmation, and it wasn’t until 2002 that we got an upgraded version. The new Masters of the Universe cartoon was definitely a step up in many ways. The graphics got better as did the animation. There was a clear influence of the DC comic universe on this show and the similar artwork is out there for you guys to judge. The storyline was engaging, and the back-stories of a lot of characters became way more attractive. It was a welcome attempt to revive the He-Man mythos, and for many this proved to be a better-quality adaptation.
