Even though it has a luxury badge on its big, imposing grille, the Lexus GX is also known for rugged capability, and Lexus has leaned into that aspect of the SUV’s character with its 2024 redesign. The 2024 GX 550 rides on an all-new platform, has an all-new look on the outside and inside, gets an all-new powertrain and comes in a new off-road-oriented Overtrail trim level. It’s about as extensive a redesign as they come.

We’ve already seen the 2024 GX 550 in person, but this is our first chance to get behind the wheel and drive it.
