Warburtons is a bakery company established in England in 1876.

In November 2015, the Muppets appeared in a two-minute promo spot, advertising the company's new Giant Crumpets. In the ad, Kermit the Frog approaches company chairman Jonathan Warburton to propose a new ad campaign for the Giant Crumpet - "The Giant Crumpet Show." From a factory, the entire Muppet gang sings a variant of "The Muppet Show Theme," boasting about the new Giant Crumpets. In the end, Warburton approves of the idea, though Statler and Waldorf typically thumb it down. Kirk Thatcher and Declan Lowney directed the spot.

ABOUT
Warburtons is a British baking firm founded by Thomas Warburton in 1876 and based in Bolton, a town formerly in Lancashire, England, and is now in Greater Manchester. For much of its history Warburtons only had bakeries in Lancashire and it remains a family-owned company. As of 2018, Warburtons has 12 bakeries, 14 depots, and 4,500 employees across the UK.

The company embarked on a large expansion program in the late 1990s which continued in the 2000s and it has grown across the United Kingdom after being relatively unheard of outside the North West. By 2010 it had a 24% share of the UK bread market compared with 2% when it was based solely in Bolton. Warburtons is the most popular bread in Lancashire with a 45% market share compared with a 15% share in London.

The Warburtons brand is the most popular bread in the United Kingdom, ahead of rivals Kingsmill and Hovis, a position it has held since 2008. Overall, Warburtons products are the second-best-selling food and drink brand in the UK after Coca-Cola and ahead of famous British brands such as Cadbury's, Barrs, and Walker's.

In early 2015, Warburtons announced the use of Sylvester Stallone in its new marketing campaign, with Stallone re-enacting many major parts he has played over the years in the advertising. Another advertising involves The Muppets singing about the new brand of giant crumpets, in a style almost identical to the opening theme of The Muppet Show, whilst the advertising with Peter Kay has him acting out with typical Kay humor, playing on the Bolton connection. The newest ad campaign features Robert De Niro and bagels.

The Muppets are an ensemble group of comedic puppet characters originally created by Jim Henson. The Muppets have appeared in multiple television series, films, and other media appearances since the 1950s. The majority of the characters listed here originated on The Muppet Show, a television series that aired from 1976 to 1981. Since then, several more characters have been introduced in other television series, as well as theatrical films.
