Segment 4 was the last section I needed to complete continuous footsteps from Arches to Zion. I set out to hike this short 40 mile section on 11/20/23 and finished it on the 22nd. This section provides a good sampling of many different and varied elements of the Hayduke: the class 4 chimney, the Red Benches, Fiddler Cove Canyon, and the Dirty Devil River. In fact, it was the only section I had to use a haul line for.

The hitch ended up working out easily. Two rides and took about an hour and a half to get back to my car.
