In the latest Federal Trust video, John Stevens and Brendan Donnelly discuss the new Illegal Migration Bill. They conclude that it is unlikely to solve the problem it supposedly addresses; is open to legal challenge; and is largely a product of the internal wranglings of the Conservative Party. There are many Conservatives who would like the UK to leave the European Convention on Human Rights, but Rishi Sunak is unlikely to risk infringing the Good Friday Agreement in this way.

SPEAKERS:
Brendan Donnelly is the Director of the Federal Trust and a former Conservative MEP.
John Stevens is the Chairman of the Federal Trust and a former Conservative MEP.
