Children and their parents are set-up on 'blind playdates' with families in their area they have never met before....Some parents love them, others loathe them, but playdates are a part of modern family life and speak volumes about who we are, where we live, how we parent and how we differ from each other.
In Bristol 8 year old child Lily lives with her single disabled mum and wants to find her soul mate. 10 year old Isis splits her time between the homes of her separated parents Tim and Sarah but wishes they could all still live together. Piper (who is also 8) lives with her both of her parents and little sister Sienna in a designer house in an affluent suburb and wants to be an actress.
Despite being confident and lively, Lily has struggled to make good friends as she doesn’t like leaving her mum on her own. Her dream is to find a soul mate.
