In North America, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is set to premiere simultaneously in theaters and on HBO Max on October 22. In a number of international territories, the movie opened exclusively in theaters on September 15th after advance screenings on the 14th – meaning, @AndreEinherjar has already seen it, had some time to digest it, and is ready to pass verdict on Denis Villeneuv’s Dune.
In this review then, he’ll begin by declaring the bias he had going in; before answering what you all want to know – did Dune go woke?
Then, without going into any spoilers of note, he will break down what worked, what didn’t, and how he thinks general audiences will respond to the movie.
