Prices start at just $18,895 to get a model equipped with this 1.8 liter engine. Output is 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy figures are 26 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway when equipped with the manual transmission.

This engine is a good match for the compact Jetta. The engine, suspension, steering, all work together to create a good driving vehicle. For day to day driving, the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta has nice midrange power as acceleration is good once the turbo has time to spool up.
