This video helps explain why someone with Vestibular illness like MdDS, PPPD, or vestibular migraines will have moments of cognitive dysfunction, or what we refer to as brain fog. A vestibular illness can often cause confusion, trouble finding words or pronouncing words, and trouble with memory, as well as other problems focusing.

If someone in your life has a vestibular illness or chronic illness, I hope this video can help you better relate to what your loved one is going through, so you are able to give them the grace and patience they need while living with their illness.

Many of us were perfectionists and high functioning individuals before we developed our illness. Often times we are frustrated with ourselves for not being the sharp witty person we once were. Many of us need the people in our lives to have better understanding in order to be more patient and forgiving of us when our brain is not functioning correctly. We are already hard enough on ourselves.

Invisible illness can be so difficult. We walk the line of being thankful no one can see our struggle, yet angry that no one recognizes how hard we're fighting.
