Hey folks! I hope this video will be useful for students and apprentices, as well as for training coordinators and instructors looking for curriculum in this new era of remote learning. It is part of an extremely detailed project walkthrough from print to final part. I recommend that you follow along with the project packet and try to make your own!

This is part three of the demonstration for the "NIMS Step Block" project in Machine Technology 220, the intermediate manual machining course at Laney College in Oakland, CA. Part three covers hole-making.

*Note: The part manufactured in this project is Job Duty 2.5 of the Milling Level 1 credential offered by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS). To be eligible for NIMS certification, the part must meet all print specifications (100% conformance). To receive NIMS certification, you must be registered with NIMS and pass an additional online area knowledge test.
