Welcome to another video from Dependable Concrete where we showcase the installation of a beautiful red brick patio in Wyncote, a suburb of Philadelphia. Our team determined the elevation, excavated the soil to a depth that allowed for a 4” stone base and the thickness of the red brick paver, and then spread and compacted ¾” crushed stone to prevent any settlement of the pavers. Using ½” plastic electrical conduits as guides and laying the pavers in a simple and fast bond pattern, we used concrete sand for the leveling base and then broadcast sand into the open joints before compressing the pavers into the sand base with a vibratory compactor, thus locking the pavers into each other. The bordering pavers were then installed into concrete to prevent future spreading of the joints. This beautiful brick paving project showcases our expertise in hardscaping and outdoor pavers, and it's now ready for furniture and a BBQ.
