Now the episode takes place across the week that Iron Man 2, Thor and The Incredible Hulk took place. This was a very pivotal moment in the timeline as it was the point in which several major events all happened and it's arguably one of the most important weeks in the entire MCU.

We start off with the title screen which we broke down in our episode 1 video incase you wanna check it out. This episode probably has the biggest names that have featured in the series so far and we get vocal performances from Samuel L Jackson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg, Frank Grillo and Jamie Alexander.

Interestingly in the incredible hulk, bruce banner was of course played by Edward Norton and this What If scenario recasts him as the MCU mainstay Mark Ruffalo to kinda keep him inline more with the continuity.

The episode kickstarts with a big title screen that says Monday, implementing this idea of the week and it runs all the way up to Friday. The episode culminates with us getting what could be a Weekendgame...ey as the heroes are brought together to form a different kind of Avengers.

Nick Fury starts off his infamous Avengers speech by saying 'there was an idea.' This featured in the film Avengers and it was later repurposed for the Avengers Infinity War trailer. This was actually used in the description of the trailer and it starts one of the most infamous speeches in the MCU

However it's cut short by Black Widow who has clearly heard it several times before.

We are currently set in the time period of Iron Man 2 and we see Tony sitting inside a giant donut mirroring the moment from that movie in which the same thing happened. Stark is currently suffering from Paladium poisoning due to the arc reactor poisoning him.

It's also possible that he was overloaded with it at the end of the first Iron Man movie as when Pepper set the reaction to blow she pushed a button that released a lot of Palladium gas.
