So, last night I saw Shang-Chi and while I loved the movie, it was a ton a fun, I was a bit disappointed that there was no DIRECT Iron Fist reference in the movie - I wasn’t expecting anything, but I thought it would have been neat to nod toward that part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we do expect Matt Murdock to appear in some capacity during Spider-Way: No Way Home and i know, i know - Charlie Cox said that his forearms are not in the trailer, but if they were his forearms he couldn’t confirm it regardless due to the NDA he surely signed, but anyway - after leaving the theater, I thought about it a bit more, and honestly there was a pretty strong connection to Iron Fist within Shang-Chi that is consistent with the lore of the television show.
