CoRoSect, an EU-funded project under Horizon 2020, aims to revolutionize insect farming as a sustainable solution for European food insecurity. By combining cutting-edge robotics with insect research, CoRoSect scales up production, reduces costs, and unlocks the potential of this innovative farming approach. The project gathers 19 partners across Europe and is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.

In this video, Dr. Rico Möckel, Associate Professor of Robotics and Intelligent Systems at Maastricht University and Maria Alexandrova, Head of Innovation Projects and Sustainability at Nasekomo present the impact CoRoSect will create on food security, showcasing the robots and hardware used.

Watch the 18-minutes documentary to learn:

- How AI, robotics, and biology can make insect farming a cornerstone of future sustainable food production.
- The importance of cross-disciplinary and international collaboration for solving the food challenges.
