The Blue Canal at the Bonneville salt Flats is an intriguing location here in Utah. Some say it’s not safe others say it’s illegal we just think it’s COOL. And, this is an absolutely beUTAHful & strange location here in Utah. If you’re looking for adventure or that perfect Instagram post, this might be your next stop. In this video, we'll get you up close & personal to show you what it's like at the infamous Blue Canal. This is an absolutely beaUTAHful & strange location here in Utah. A unique place to SUP - Stand Up Paddleboard & Kayak, but you probably shouldn't swim in it like we did.

For clarity, because some people are confused. This is the ancient Lake Bonneville dry bed. Morton packages the salt from this locations and sells it all over the world. For those who don't know, salt has been used for disinfecting and food preservation for centuries. In short, it's NOT a toxic dump & it's totally safe to swim in. Just don't Drink it.

In this episode, Wally & Tee Dub show you what it's like at the Blue Canal in Utah located at the Bonneville Salt Flats, one of the worlds most unique & beautiful locations. When you add the blue canal, it makes this place a destination location. But is it safe? Some say that it's not safe as the blue canal was designed for industrial purposes to extract minerals from the brines. It was never intended for swimming & it could be dangerous. In other words, swim at your own risk. And speaking of risks, if you go to the Blue canal, there's a very good chance you could be fined as you may need to cross private property or park along the highway which is illegal. So, if you decided to visit the blue canal, do so at your own risk.
Side Note: swimming & paddle boarding the blue river wasn't very exciting, there was no current.
