Assalamu Alaikum,

The most important aspect of our lives is our relationship with God, after the shahada, what follows in importance is Prayer. The Prophet (SAW) also told us that the first thing we will be asked about on the Day of Judgement will be our prayer, and if the prayer is sound, everything after it will be ok.

As new muslims, we want to first focus on building and improving our prayers and performing them correctly and to build that khushoo (the our connection) in our prayer because we are talking to the Lord and Creator of the heavens and the Earth through it.
