A really early concept to refresh Newsround from 2013. We eventually did rebrand the programme completely in October 2014, but this idea was created to 'evolve' the existing logo affectionally known as the 'Smartie' for it's similarity to the confectionary.

This concept is about exploding into the world of Newsround, with all the stories and features that are hidden inside the smartie. These titles were designed to be updated daily using images of the day.

Whilst these titles didn't air, we did evolve this concept to refresh the lower thirds and on screen architecture which was on air from January-October 2014 before the major rebrand of October 2014.
