This scene from Sydney Pollack's 1972 film "Jeremiah Johnson," starring Robert Redford in the title role, is a turning point in the movie when Johnson, a recluse from society, makes a decision to help others from society. In doing so, he changes the whole course of his life. This is one of ‘Robert Redford's most endearing and enduring performances of a character who has to grow and revert to a form of savagery to master it.’
