This video is about getting my Thermo-lite ready for laminating and creating the structural bulkheads and stringers.

The longitudinal and lateral bulkheads are full height and will end up being fixed to the floor which is then fixed to the side of the boat by laminating or tabbing it into position. This will then essentially make the whole structure on piece - one very strong piece - one structure. The stringers, bulkheads and the floor all lock in together.

I'm using Thermolite, biaxial cloth, multi bias, quadaxial and CSM chopped strand mat. Which are all laminated together in a specific way to ensure the strength is ensured.

The hull will be widened by adding a sponsons to the sides and all the fibreglass work will be added to provide additional structural strength and structural integrity. With this we will be adding a higher chine which will be just below the new water line of the boat. The main reason to keep the new chine below the water line is to prevent chine slap which is an annoying problem that occurs when chines are slightly above the ware line and waves come up and slap against it creating an annoying sound, especially if you're trying to get some shut eye.

In addition to this we're using all composite materials throughout These products are designed and manufactured to ensure they don't absorb water. These products will include Thermolite and FF360 - but more on that later.

I hope you enjoy the video and please remember to subscribe and hit the notification button for future content.
