Peace and quiet can only last so long before it is disrupted, and after a quiet Wednesday in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, storms will return to the regions Thursday. Light, scattered morning showers are possible, followed by an afternoon line of thunderstorms stretching from Maine to North Carolina. These storms could bring a severe threat along with them, especially in New England.  Along much of the I-95 corridor south of New England, it will feel like a sauna as high temperatures climb into the mid 90s, while heat indices in some spots may reach 100. Interior parts of the region should remain much cooler with highs only in the 70s and 80s.  The Southeast is again expected to remain mostly dry Thursday, aside from a couple of pop-up afternoon thunderstorms across the Deep South and typical thunderstorm activity in Florida. Widespread high temperatures in the low to mid 90s are anticipated, with humidity causing it to feel like it is in the upper 90s to low 100s.  https://www.facebook.com/reel/3155342...
