Children's book on grief & loss: https://tinyurl.com/lulufacesloss ... You don't have to visit the gravesite unless you want to! The death anniversary (AKA, Deathiversary) day can be filled with feelings and expectations, making it easy to feel apprehensive and even awkward as the day approaches.

How should you celebrate the yearly anniversary of a loved one’s death?

To quote a past counselor of mine: “Don’t should on yourself.”

But seriously, when it comes to facing the deathiversary, there is a lot of gray area to work with. You’re free to commemorate the day in a special way OR to treat it like it’s nothing special. If you choose to do something special, what that “special” entails is totally up to you - and keep in mind that it will change from year to year. Watch the video for lots of creative (and helpful!) ideas.
