Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries, Mark Furner, has reminded Queenslanders that a pet is a lifelong commitment and not just a Christmas present.

The Deputy Chief Health Officer also confirmed that Queensland had one new COVID case overnight which was detected in hotel quarantine and is linked to an existing case.
