You should make hay when the sun shines, but what to do if you don't have any sun? The forecasts were wrong.

Well, I decided to cut 3 acres of grass because the weather forecast said it was going to be sunny and warm. Instead we had 3 sessions of rain and the only sun was on day 8 after I cut it. I had almost written it all off, but our saving grace was that it was windy throughout.

Although sunshine can dry grass within 3 days and hay can be in the barn before you know it. This time it took 8 days before I thought it was dry enough to bale.

Anyway, all done now - phew!!!
