Is VHF really line of sight? We decided to test the theory. Lewis (Ringway Manchester) and I decided to conduct a little test whilst he was in London. Can we make contact from my homebase in Hertfordshire to his Icom ID-52 handheld in London. There's a lot against us, mainly some massive hills but Did it work? Is VHF realluy strictly line of sight?
