5. Set high goals for yourself
He's a member of the board of trustees for the US Council for International Business.

6. Empower people
He speaks regularly on research regarding the attributes of exceptional organizations.

7. Find mentors
He has held several leadership roles within Deloitte, including CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP in the US member firm.

8. Find yourself
During his tenure as US Consulting CEO, the US consulting practice experienced tremendous growth despite an ongoing recession.

9. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable
For the past three years, he has commissioned the Deloitte Core Beliefs & Culture Survey.
