Your Samurai is slow. I know this, because mine was slow too. Very slow.

This is the story of my 1.6L 16-valve swap for my 1986 Suzuki Samurai!

The reasons I wanted to swap mine:
1. I wanted to go fast from 60hp to 90hp
2. My original 1.3L was leaking from every corner, and was showing signs of a blown head gasket. I needed a new carb

Parts I used:

Engine sourced from Steve:

Petroworks 1.6L 16V Installation Kit (adapter plate, motor mounts, trans mount):

1.6L 16V Doug Thorley Headers:

Aluminum Radiator:

Clutch:

*One thing not mentioned in the video, if you have a small lift or no lift, you will need to run a modified oil pan so that you do not risk bottoming out your oil pan on your front axle when flexing or using your suspension.*
