Gratitude and positive affirmations can feel really nice, but they can also be unkind and disrespectful towards ourselves by suppressing parts within us that don't agree with the affirmation.

If you have doing gratitude or positive affirmations, I invite you to be really honest with yourself. Is there any part within you that doesn't agree with the gratitude or positive affirmations? Is there any belief or feeling inside of you that resists or doesn't align with the gratitude or positive affirmations? It can be much more valuable in the long-run to be honest with ourselves rather than deny whatever inside us doesn't agree with the gratitude or positive affirmations.
