This featurette takes a look at ten selected episodes from the first series of the British TV show "Space: 1999" (1975). With contributions from the show's creator Gerry Anderson, supervising editor David Lane, the two main scriptwriters Johnny Byrne and Christopher Penfold, and actress Zienia Merton (who played Sandra Benes).

Space: 1999 has been digitally remastered, complete with newly-produced 5.1 surround sound. The remastered boxset (DVD and blu-ray) was released by NETWORK. These Episodes, a featurette on the DVD, was made by KINDRED Productions (2005) using older prints of the show before it was remastered.

(Note: I believe the blu-ray release has an extended version of this documentary, covering more episodes, but I don't know which ones. The info notes here refer to this DVD version.)

There are 24 episodes in the first series. Some notable episodes which are not included in this featurette are "Death's Other Dominion", "Collision Course" and "Missing Link." Death's Other Dominion is set on an ice planet, with guest star Brian Blessed, and it's possibly my favourite episode of the series.
