The Caped Crusader is back in yet another Detective comic cinematic film, but this time, it’s not an origin story, it’s a trip through much of the Bat’s rogues gallery, and how they came to be the criminal leaders of Gotham city.

The director for the film, Matt Reeves loved the idea of an origin story for some of the caped crusader’s villains, possibly sparked by the recent pseudo-anti-superhero movie Joker. Some of the villains that may appear in this news film include Bruce Wayne’s long-lost childhood Friend Tommy, who wasn’t given psychiatric care, largely due to the machinations of one young Johnathan Crane, the original name of the eventual supervillain Scarecrow.

The Riddler is the most obvious villain in the whole movie, the trailer has practically screamed the fact that he will be the main antagonist of the film. It’s about time I’d say, we haven’t seen the question mark of a man on the silver screen ever since Jim Carrey portrayed him in the 1995 film!

Penguin is another villain that we know for a fact will be in the film in one way or another, and he also has not shared the silver screen with the caped crusader in some time, but unfortunately, Danny Devito will not be reprising his role as the best version of Penguin.

One of the most exciting theories is that the secret underground Illuminati of Gotham, The Court of Owls may just be pulling the strings for the whole movie. The Talons are the dirty hand of The Court, how will Robert Pattinson’s version of the bat handle being tracked by the secret society of Gotham? I can’t wait to find out!
