The latest 530e is a great way to waft along in comfort through Europe's increasing number of EV only zones. Then, once you are free of these zones, you can experience its 288 horsepower and precise handling. It's a bit too big and heavy to be a corner carver, but it is still remarkably good on a winding road. Remember to charge it, and you will manage to get close to BMW's claimed 2 l/100km efficiency figure.
