In this video, Priority Rental employees talk you through how a portable air conditioner works. This specific unit is a 5-ton spot cooler.

We take apart the spot cooler to show you a closer look at the 3-phase unit. This type of unit can be ducted into a drop ceiling and used in a number of applications, like at a data center, hospital, or in an office.

When we receive these units back, we take apart the units to completely clean the unit and ensure it's ready for the next person who rents it.

To learn more about the different parts, read out blog post: http://bit.ly/1qVy4g8.

Here's some of the parts we highlight:

Control Panel: This includes an on/off switch, a compressor, and fan & room temperature controls that are easy to use.

Back of the Unit: This is where you will find the 3 hots, a main breaker, a fire alarm, and a blower wheel (for internal room air).

Front of the Unit: This includes an evaporator, two full air exhausts that pull air from the evaporator, and an evaporator fan.

Condensing Side: This side includes an exhaust that pulls out the hot air as the condensing side rejects heat.

Condensation Pump: Anything that needs to be collected will get pumped out using this tool.
