While the COVID-19 pandemic continues on, our world faces the added threats of food insecurity, inflation, supply chain disruptions, war, and great power competition. Millions of people face food and climate insecurity or are being displaced from their homes and yet our global response to these ongoing crises are not even close to meeting our needs.

If one thing should now be clear, it’s that our global operating system is now in desperate need of an upgrade. In our interdependent world, the needs of one and all are interconnected. The only way for any one of us to be safer is if all of us are.

The time has come for a new global politics representing the mutual responsibilities of our inescapable interdependence.
