you can slow down or stop leaks even increase compression as cylinder rings are worn with excessive wear because thats the cause of blowby. The pcv system or pcv valve other wise know as positive crankcase ventilation system is mean to stop poor emissions by rerouting the blowby into the intake to be reused for the combustion chamber process. one of many problems can be solved check and clean the pcv valve.
