By the end of the 1980s, a decade he truly dominated in the realm of music, Michael Jackson was looking for new challenges and set his sights on a big time movie career. Although he wasn't your typical leading man he had the perfect role just in mind, 'Edward Scissorhands'.

Director Tim Burton wouldn't entertain the idea for a minute and went on cast Johnny Depp in the titular role. However, the film that Burton went on to create contained many themes reminiscent of Michael Jackson and his life.

The Gloved one loved its final outcome and could relate to the overall message. Possibly the most obvious opportunity missed for the artist to tell his story in some way and to launch a film career that never was.
