Fried Chicken Sandwich w/Hot Honey Sauce
Ingredients

Chicken Breast or Boneless chicken thighs
( please allow the chicken to sit out for 30 mins or more. This prevent the breast from being dry! Cooking protein right out of the pack is not good idea! )

Lettuce (crispy green romaine)


2 tablespoon Salted Butter
Pickles
Cooked Bacon
Brioche Bun
Oil for Frying ( about 5 -6 cups canola or vegetable oil )
For the Batter:
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups self-rising flour
Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl combine the following:
1/2 cup seasoning salt , plus 1 tbs garlic powder, 1 tbs onion powder, 1 tbs cajun seasoning, adjust seasoning as needed!

For the Sauce:
½ cup Honey
½ cup Hot Sauce
2 tbs butter
Method:
Heat your oil in a cast iron pan pot/deep pan to 350⁰F
Wash and rinse your chicken and pat it dry.

For the Batter:
In a bowl pour your Buttermilk over your chicken breast, and add half of the seasoning mix, allow the Breast to sit in buttermilk for 10 mins or more. You can always do this in the morning or night before !

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and additional seasonings.
Take your Chicken and coat it in your seasoned flour and deep fry until golden brown, about 10 - 15 minutes. 5-6 mins per side.

For the Sauce:
Melt your butter in a saucepan on medium heat, then and add your hot sauce and boil for - 3 minutes. Then add your honey and stir together with a whisk and boil additional 2 - 3 minutes.
Once it’s bubbling, add your crispy chicken to sauce and toss on each side.
Open your bun. ( you also toast you buns if you want)
Lay down your chicken. Top with Homemade ranch ( recipe on Patreon for ranch ), bacon, pickles.
Top with your fried chicken.
Drizzle with Ranch and enjoy!
